“And the Lord said to me, ‘My child, you please Me most by suffering. In your physical as well as your mental sufferings, My daughter, do not seek sympathy from creatures. I want the fragrance of your suffering to be pure and unadulterated. I want you to detach yourself, not only from creatures, but also from yourself…The more you will come to love suffering, My daughter, the purer your love for Me will be.'” St. Maria Faustina Kowalska: Divine Mercy in My Soul
I believe it is vital that you feel comfortable with your doula. After all, a doula's job is to provide comfort. How can I do that if you aren't at ease around me? Please read through this page to learn more about me, my training, and beliefs to see if we would be a good fit for each other.
I'm Caroline Cormeny. I call South Carolina home, and am currently living in the Greenville area. My passions include Catholicism, Catholicism, femininity, art, books, and more Catholicism. I work with children for a living and was inspired to become a doula after attending my Godson's homebirth. I was also motivated by some other incredible Catholic women who believed in the importance of reclaiming birth and postpartum time from an increasingly pervasive culture of death. I have many friends who have expressed their frustration with a System that pressures them into decisions or environments that make them uncomfortable or go against their beliefs. I would like to see a future where young women step into their femininity and recreate the villages of support for these mothers that we lost long ago.
My Training:
I have a Bachelors Degree in Clinical Psychology and am a Certified Birth & Postpartum Doula through The Catholic Doula Program. I am also a certified M.O.M. and Breastfeeding Advocate.
My Beliefs:
I am a Traditional Roman Catholic.
- I believe in the dignity of every human life, no matter the stage, and believe in the duty of Catholics to fight for the right to life.
- I am greatly devoted to and edified by regular Eucharistic adoration and daily Latin Mass. I find great solace in the beautiful Liturgy and ability to be present at Calvary in every Mass.
- I believe Catholics should embrace suffering, as it is our only way to heaven. I hope I can encourage you in painful moments of birth and postpartum to let Christ use those trials to further sanctify you.
